Heading East Along The River 

This is a great route to start with.
Be amazed at how quickly you can leave the city
behind with this route. Almost entirely by the river
on paths of various types the route echoes with
past industries that made use of the waterway.
Depending on times and dates, there is an
opportunity to catch a ferry across the river to
Beeses Tea Gardens or continue on to a weir
complete with pubs. It is possible to push on to Bath along the river (pushing the tandem ) picking up the Bristol-Bath cycle path at Bitton.

Mostly paths, some a bit bumpy in places. Potentially muddy. Easy, flat, aprox 15miles, ( to weir and back)
